Colm Dalton
Colm Dalton grew up in rural Co. Kerry, the son of folk musicians, with fond memories of visiting many local pubs throughout his youth. He left his native Ireland in 2005 and has since lived and worked in London.
By day, Colm is an Associate Lecturer in English at University College London. By night, on weekends, and during half-term, for the last decade, he has been documenting his attempt to visit every Irish pub in the world on his blog, Publican Enemy. This project has taken him to more than 150 pubs in 52 countries across the globe.
Stout of this World is the result of many pints, trips, and conversations. It is a book that documents the beauty of the Irish pub—those unrivalled beacons of green, white, and orange—in all its glory.
