About The Author

Christine Odell

Christine Odell served for twenty-seven years with the New South Wales and Queensland police services, working in frontline policing, child sexual abuse investigation, tactical operations, and forensic crime scene examination.

Following her policing career, she joined a humanitarian needs-assessment team in Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake. She later spent more than six years working in Cambodia and Mozambique alongside government agencies, law enforcement, and international organizations responding to child sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

Christine is a recipient of the National Police Medals and long-service awards from both the New South Wales and Queensland police services. In March 2018, she was admitted as an investigator with the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Christine has also worked in child safety, high-risk domestic violence response, mediation, and peer support. She is a recipient of the National Police Medal and service awards from both police jurisdictions. A mother and grandmother, Christine continues to advocate for vulnerable children and survivors of abuse, exploitation, and trafficking.
