About The Author
Chris Young
Chris Young is a landscape designer with over 25 years of experience in the gardening and landscape sector. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Chris runs a gardens consultancy, CY Gardens, where he assists clients with business development, garden design, and content creation. He also serves as a consultant to Burghley House.
In 2022, Chris contributed to the Gold Medal-winning Place2Be Securing Tomorrow Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, designed by Jamie Butterworth. His involvement included supporting the garden’s development, working with Jamie Butterworth on the brief, and contributing to the design itself.
Previously, Chris was the Editor of the Garden Design Journal, the official publication of the Society of Garden Designers, and also held the position of Head of Editorial at the Royal Horticultural Society.
