About The Author
Chet Singh
Chet Singh was the first General Manager of the Penang Development Corporation (PDC), a post he held on until his retirement in July 1991. He has been actively involved as a Director of the Board of Penang Institute, and in 2010, he was made Special Adviser to the Chief Minister of Penang. Rajah Rasiah is Distinguished Professor of International Development at the Asia Europe Institute, University of Malaya. Wong Yee Tuan is Fellow & Head of History and Heritage Programme, Penang Institute.
