Brian Michael Bendis
Brian Michael Bendis: Award-winning comic-book creator and one of the most successful writers in the industry. He is known for his acclaimed run on Daredevil, revitalizing Marvel’s Avengers franchise, and writing major event projects such as House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege, Age of Ultron, and Civil War II. He wrote every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man from its launch and introduced Miles Morales to the Marvel Universe. Bendis also wrote All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, Invincible Iron Man (introducing Riri Williams as Ironheart), and Defenders. Leinil Francis Yu: An artist whose interest in comics was sparked by How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. He began his mainstream comics work on Wolverine and has since worked on titles such as Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, Superman: Birthright, and Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk. Yu collaborated with Brian Michael Bendis on New Avengers and Secret Invasion, and has contributed to event comics like Avengers & X-Men: Axis and IVX, as well as Star Wars.
Michael Gaydos: An artist who honed his craft at the Cleveland Institute of Art. He is an accomplished illustrator, painter, and printmaker. Gaydos first collaborated with Brian Michael Bendis on the crime-noir series Jinx, followed by their partnership on Marvel Comics’ Alias. His work has been published by various companies and featured in anthologies like Negative Burn, The Crow, and the original graphic novel Heaven’s War. He reunited with Bendis to illustrate The Pulse, detailing a significant event in Jessica Jones’ life.
David Mack: A writer and artist whose first Kabuki collection was submitted as his college senior thesis. He is known for his innovative storytelling, painting techniques, and page design, and has won numerous industry awards, including an Eisner Award for Best Painter. Mack’s work on Marvel includes covers for the Daredevil storyline “Parts of a Hole,” which he also wrote, and the “Echo: Vision Quest” storyline. He continues to write and illustrate his creator-owned series Kabuki. Mack also wrote the adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s Electric Ant for Marvel and was nominated for Writers Guild and Producers Guild Awards for his work on Showtime’s Dexter.
Jim Cheung: An artist who began his association with Marvel Comics in the 1990s, drawing titles like Black Knight, Force Works, Iron Man, Maverick, and X-Force. He also worked on the CrossGen series Scion. Cheung launched the Young Avengers with Allan Heinberg, illustrated New Avengers: Illuminati with Brian Michael Bendis, and reunited with Heinberg for Avengers: The Children’s Crusade. His style is sought-after for covers and event series, including contributions to Infinity, Avengers & X-Men: Axis, and Civil War II.
