About The Author
Barry W. Holtz
Barry W. Holtz, born in Boston, is the Theodore and Florence Baumritter Professor of Jewish Education at The Jewish Theological Seminary. Holtz completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University and his doctorate from Brandeis University in English and American Literature. He is the author of many books including Rabbi Akiva: Sage of the Talmud and Finding Our Way: Jewish Texts and the Lives We Lead Today.
