About The Author

Banji Awosika

Dr. Banji Awosika completed his elementary education in Tokyo and high school in Nigeria. He then attended the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital College of Medicine, where he earned two Bachelor’s Degrees. His postgraduate training included an internship at the Port of Spain Hospital in Trinidad, a year of practice in England, and residency and fellowship at New York’s North Shore University Hospital and St. John Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Awosika practices in Orlando and Nigeria, specializing in Nephrology, Hypertension, and Kidney Dialysis, with a focus on preventive care and lifestyle medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine, and International Society of Hypertension in Ethnic Minorities.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Awosika enjoys spending time with his wife, Tejumade, and their three children, Olajire, Obatimilehin, and Obasindara. He also plays the saxophone, practices martial arts, and participates in marathons.
