Aung San Suu Kyi
Aung San Suu Kyi is the leader of Burma’s National League for Democracy. She was first placed under house arrest in Rangoon in 1989, and in the summer of 2009 her confinement was extended by a further 18 months. Her book of essays Freedom from Fear is also published by Penguin.
