About The Author
Atul Babbar
Dr. Atul Babbar is an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of SGT University, Gurugram. He teaches in academics and the research field. He is a Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing Engineer certified by the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT). His research interests include Biomedical, 3D and 4D printing, and Conventional/Non-Conventional Machining. He has authored research articles and book chapters in various international/national Web of Science and Scopus journals and has been granted numerous national and international patents. He reviews research articles for various peer-reviewed SCI and Scopus indexed journals.
Dr. Ankit Sharma is an Assistant Professor at Chitkara College of Applied Engineering of Chitkara University. He completed his doctorate from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has authored numerous national and international publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals. His research interests include hybrid machining and additive manufacturing. He has experience in industry and academics and has been granted numerous national and international patents.
Dr. Vivek Jain received his Ph.D. in 2012 from IIT Roorkee, India, and his M.Tech. in 2009 from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, India. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He has 14 years of teaching and 2 years of industrial experience. His research interests include Biomedical, Machining, Composites, and Surface Engineering. He has published in various international/national journals and filed three Indian patents. He is also handling a research project funded by DST (India).
Dr. Dheeraj Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, India. He obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India, and Master’s & Doctoral Degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He has more than ten years of teaching and Research Experience and has worked on a European Union Funded Project in Lisbon, Portugal. He has published more than 70 articles in journals and conferences and has filed two Indian Patents on microwave processing of metals. He is currently a Principal Investigator for an Indian government-funded project.
