Antonio Pigafetta
Antonio Pigafetta (c. 1491-c. 1534) fue un marinero y cronista italiano que acompañó a Fernando de Magallanes en su viaje alrededor de la Tierra. Esta crónica es la fuente principal de información sobre el viaje, y el primer documento disponible en Europa acerca del idioma filipino. Pigafetta fue uno de los dieciocho hombres, de entre unos 260 en la tripulación inicial, que sobrevivieron al viaje.
