About The Author

Antonio Martin Gomez

Antonio Martín Gómez is an assistant professor in the Department of Global Cultures and Languages at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He teaches courses in Spanish for specific purposes, including Spanish for Mental Health Professionals, Spanish for Professional Communication, and Business Spanish.

After earning his degree in English from the Universidad de Valladolid in Spain, he completed an M.A. in Hispanic studies at the University of Kentucky and a Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics at Purdue University. His research focuses on second language acquisition of Spanish word order and morphology, instructed vocabulary learning, and the teaching of Spanish pronunciation.
