Dr. Andrei Olaru

Dr. Andrei Olaru is an Associate Professor at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (UNSTPB), specializing in multi-agent systems, ambient intelligence, and context-awareness. He is a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Multi-agent Systems Laboratory. Dr. Olaru holds a double M.Sc. Degree from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the University of Nantes, and a double Ph.D. Degree from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and Sorbonne University. He teaches a course on Multi-Agent Systems to master students and coordinates the Financial Computing Master’s Degree at UNSTPB. Dr. Olaru has directed two national research grants and one international grant. He is a member of ACM and the Romanian Association for Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Luis Gustavo Nardin

Dr. Luis Gustavo Nardin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Intelligent Systems at IMT Mines Saint-Étienne (MSE) and a member of the Laboratory of Informatics, Modelling and Optimization of the Systems (LIMOS UMR 6158). He earned his M.Sc. (2009) and Ph.D. (2015) degrees in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. At MSE, he teaches multi-agent systems (MAS), software engineering, and cloud computing to undergraduate students and Cyber-Physical and Social Systems (CPS2) master students. His research focuses on models, tools, and methodologies for MAS regulation, as well as agent-based simulation for understanding the impact of social behaviors and institutional policies on complex adaptive systems. Dr. Nardin previously held faculty positions at the National College of Ireland and the Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Idaho, USA. He coordinates the international project NAIMAN, developing normative models for regulating the manufacturing industry, and leads the organization of the Summer School on AI Technologies for Trust, Interoperability, Autonomy and Resilience in Industry 4.0 (AI4Industry). He also participates in the ANR-SNF HyperAgents project, focusing on regulation ontologies for hybrid human-agent communities on the Web, and the ANR ACCELER-AI project, developing models for bounding ethical behavior learning.

Dr. Alexandru Sorici

Dr. Alexandru Sorici is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and a member of the AI-MAS Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Étienne. His research interests include context management, agent-oriented programming, human activity recognition, and ambient intelligence, with applications in assisted robotics, autonomous driving, and medical data analysis from wearable devices. Dr. Sorici is leading the postdoc project CASHMERE, focused on dynamic context-dependent authorization for web resource discovery and use by software agents. He is also involved in the HORIZON 2020 ALAMEDA project, studying the predictive power of wearable device and patient log data for neurological disease status. In this project, he manages the patient data collection protocol and interfaces between medical and technical teams. Dr. Sorici serves as the Secretary of the Romanian Association for Artificial Intelligence (ARIA), contributing to AI education and public awareness events.

Dr. Adina Magda Florea

Dr. Adina Magda Florea is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the Director of the International Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence at the university. Her research expertise lies in multi-agent systems, machine learning, ambient intelligence, active and assisted living, social robots, and human-robot interaction. Dr. Florea founded and holds the chair of Artificial Intelligence at UNSTPB. She has directed over 25 national research and development grants and 6 international grants, and coordinated the PRECIS Research Center. Dr. Florea has been an invited professor at several European universities and held a one-year invited professorship at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, President of the Romanian Association for Artificial Intelligence, and Chair of the IEEE Romanian Section Chapter of Computational Intelligence.
