About The Author

Allan Mallinson

Allan Mallinson recently retired from the Army as a Brigadier, having earlier commanded the 13/18th Hussars, now part of the Light Dragoons. His final appointment was Defence Attach in Rome. The first edition of The Origins of the Light Dragoons launched his literary career which has now taken off sensationally. Hailed as a present day Patrick O’Brien, his novels follow the career of Matthew Hervey, a cavalry officer during the Napoleonic era.
