About the Author
Alison Rendall, a lifelong Shetlander, grew up immersed in the rich knitting traditions of her homeland during the 1970s. A passionate supporter of Shetland’s cultural heritage, she was named the 2023 patron of Shetland Wool Week, a globally celebrated event honoring Britain’s northernmost native sheep. Alison’s beautifully crafted pullovers, slippers, and socks have captivated a wide audience, with tens of thousands following her work on Instagram (@fair_isle_knitting).
