Alice Hughes
Alice Hughes grew up in North Wales and studied Music and French at Cardiff University, followed by a Masters in French Literature at the University of Oxford. She has twice been shortlisted for the Observer/Anthony Burgess Prize for Arts Journalism and won the runner-up prize in 2024. Alice’s writing on place and community was selected for inclusion in Sustainable Wales’ Our Square Mile initiative in 2020. She lives in Cardiff and works in politics.
