About The Author
Alexandra Milton
Alexandra Milton is an artist and illustrator. Her chosen media is collage. She has developed a unique artistic style, collecting paper from around the world, which she tears and weaves into a multitude of layers to represent animals, birds, and plants.
Her artwork in her debut children’s book, Call Me Gorgeous, was nominated for the 2010 Kate Greenaway Medal. The book was also a 2009 Book Start choice, distributed free to 100,000 children across the UK.
Her book Whose Tracks in the Snow? was shortlisted for the Information Books 3-14+ category of the UK Literary Association Awards 2024. Her third title Who Lives Here? has been longlisted for the 2026 award.
