Alexander Shane Archer
Alexander Shane Archer joined the British Army in 2011, serving first as a soldier and then as an officer in the Intelligence Corps. He trained at Pirbright and Chicksands, and later undertook officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before commissioning back into the Intelligence Corps, one of the very few former soldiers to do so.
Over a decade in uniform, he deployed on operations to Afghanistan attached to the infantry, and served in Germany, Northern Ireland, and elsewhere in the UK. He worked across tactical intelligence, counter-terrorism, physical security, internal investigations, counter-intelligence, and strategic planning. He left the military in 2021 and later studied international relations before working in private intelligence overseas.
