Adeboye Adejare’s research group focuses on the design and synthesis of small organic molecules to investigate neurodegeneration, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, and to develop cancer treatments. Their interests also include in vitro models of drug absorption and blood-brain barrier crossing, drug targeting, pharmaceutical profiling, and the chemistry of fluoroaromatic compounds. This research is supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Office of Naval Research, and various pharmaceutical companies. These endeavors have led to over 50 publications, 5 patents, and more than 100 presentations at meetings, including invited talks at national and international conferences. He participates in several national panels, including those by NIH, NSF, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Dr. Adejare is the editor of Drug Discovery Approaches for the Treatment of Neurodegenerative Disorders: Alzheimer’s Disease.
