Summary
‘You are afraid to die? Yes, everyone is!
But to die as lovers may die—to die together,
so that they may live together?’
Carmilla is a ghost story for theatre, enmeshing spoken word and through composed music for live chamber orchestra. This adaptation of Sheridan Le Fanu’s controversial 1872 gothic novella explores violence, transgressive sexuality and the fragile boundary between the living and the dead.
