Geoff Gibson

Geoff Gibson is a Portland-based geographer, writer, and educator. He holds a bachelor’s in geography and a master’s in urban planning from Portland State University, where he is now an instructor. Gibson is widely recognized for his popular YouTube channel, “Geography by Geoff,” and co-hosts the podcast Geography is Everything.

Prior to writing and speaking about geography, he was a transportation planner in Portland, as well as a journalist for SB Nation, Willamette Week, and other online outlets. He was a lead contributor to the book Upper Left Cities: A Cultural Atlas of San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle.
