Rukmini Iyer transformed my life with her Roasting Tin books. I learned what flavours go together well and also that cooking doesn’t need to be neat and tidy. You just need a big tin and an over. And cumin. Always cumin – Juno Dawson, author of MARGOT & ME * Guardian *

About The Author

Rukmini Iyer

RUKMINI IYER is the bestselling author of the Roasting Tin series, selling over 1.75 million copies worldwide. She has transformed the cookery space in the UK, leading the one-tin, one-pot and one-pan revolution, and her books remain firm favourites among fans of maximum-flavour, minimum-hassle cooking.

Rukmini grew up in Cambridgeshire with a diverse culinary background, influenced by her parents’ Bengali and South Indian heritage, alongside classic eighties’ comfort foods.

She is a columnist for the Guardian and BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, and also writes for publications including BBC Good Food magazine, Waitrose, and Fortnum & Mason. Rukmini strongly believes that making time to eat well is an integral part of the day. As a new mother with limited time but a good appetite, she is passionate about helping other households create great, minimum-effort dinners.

When she’s not cooking, Rukmini enjoys gardening, exploring food markets with her border collie and toddler, and entertaining at home with her husband, often with friends, but just as frequently with her baby and dog.
