Queen Shahrazad
Wen-chin Ouyang is Professor of Arabic and Comparative Literature at SOAS, University of London. Her published books include Literary Criticism in Medieval Arabic-Islamic Culture and Poetics of Love in the Arabic Novel. She has also written widely on the Arabian Nights. Born in Taiwan and raised in Libya, she is a native speaker of both Arabic and Chinese.
