Critics Review
Take a Chance on Me is equal parts heartwarming and heartwrenching, a delightful story of self-love and romance set against a brilliantly vivid travelling backdrop. Emily’s characters are packed full of heart and warmth * Beth Reekles *A gorgeous, escapist and gestating read, with a romance to make you swoon * Becky Hunter *This was a gorgeous story, full of warmth and hope, with a twisty ending that kept me reading late into the night. The vibrancy and chaos of the setting were so beautifully described, too. I adored it! * Jo Lovett *You know you’re in for a treat when you get a new Emily Houghton book! Romantic, escapist and wonderful * Olivia Beirne *Poignant and emotional … this is a book that yet again shows Emily’s wonderful talent for writing in this genre * My Creative Notebook *A light, escapist romance * Yours *A great feelgood read with hidden depths * Peterborough Telegraph *
About The Author
Emily Houghton
Emily Houghton is the author of BEFORE I SAW YOU. An Essex girl at heart, she now spends most of her time between London and Suffolk. Emily worked in digital product management at Tesco and Barclays for seven years, and it was during a sabbatical from work, travelling around India, that her first book was born; the first draft is still written on her phone! After a whirlwind few months, Emily quit her corporate job to live her dream of writing full-time. A true Gemini, she has many interests and is a trained spin and yoga teacher. She has a curiosity for life and a passion for all things well-being, one day hoping to create her own retreat space with a lot of dogs! Her writing, while centering around love stories, often touches on deeper emotional themes such as self-love, healing, and the power of finding yourself.
