Orlando Murrin
Orlando Murrin rose to culinary prominence as a semi-finalist on Masterchef. He subsequently served as editor for Woman and Home, BBC Good Food, and founded Olive magazine. Following this, he transitioned to a career as a chef-hotelier in Southwest France and Somerset.
Murrin is the author of six cookbooks and has been honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Guild of Food Writers, their highest commendation. He is a frequent guest on television and radio programs, and appears at food and literary festivals. He also regularly hosts and participates in podcasts.
Inheriting a fascination with crime and mystery from his grandfather, a Met detective who became a crack MI5 interrogator, Murrin has penned two culinary crime novels: Knife Skills For Beginners (shortlisted for four national awards, including the McDermid Debut Award) and Murder Below Deck.
He resides in Exeter, Devon.
