Phillip Kennedy Johnson is an American Eisner-nominated comic book writer, best known for his acclaimed work on Superman/Action Comics, Marvel’s Alien series, Green Lantern: War Journal, and his fan-favorite run on The Incredible Hulk. His comics have been published by DC, Marvel, BOOM! Studios, Dynamite, Archaia, IDW, Aftershock, and Scout Comics.
Johnson broke into comics in 2015 with the BOOM! Studios miniseries Last Sons of America and Warlords of Appalachia. Since then, he has written numerous high-profile titles, including Aquaman, Captain America, Marvel Zombies: Resurrection, and Extreme Carnage. He is also the creator of the DC Black Label series The Fellspyre Chronicles and BOOM! Studios’ Crocodile Black.
Outside of his writing career, Johnson is a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, where he serves as a trumpet player with The U.S. Army Field Band of Washington, DC. Prior to his military service, he toured the world with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Moscow Ballet, Dallas Opera, Washington Symphonic Brass, Lexington Philharmonic, and the Benny Goodman Orchestra.
Javier (Javi) Fernandez
Javier (Javi) Fernandez is a comic book artist from Granada, Spain. He is known for his interior art and covers for DC Comics and for his work on the #1 bestselling book of 2021, King Spawn.
Fernandez began his career with Marvel Comics, contributing to Captain America and a series of Magneto issues in 2014. Since 2011, he has been a regular artist on many successful DC Comics titles, including Batman, Nightwing, Detective Comics, Justice League, and Green Arrow.
In 2021, Javier became the lead artist for King Spawn, a popular title within Todd McFarlane’s expanded Spawn Universe, published by Image Comics. He continues to contribute to this series, showcasing his exceptional sequential storytelling.
