About The Author
Alex Ross
Jim Krueger was a creative director at Marvel Comics and later became a freelance comic book writer/property creator. His original works include The Foot Soldiers, Alphabet Supes, The Clock Maker and The Last Straw Man. Other comic book writing includes the award-winning Earth X trilogy with Alex Ross for Marvel Comics, as well as Avengers, X-Men, Star Wars, The Matrix Comics, Micronauts, Galactic, and Batman.
Born in Portland, OR, Alex Ross attended Chicago’s American Academy of Art. There, he studied classic surrealists such as Salvador Dali who would later become influential toward Alex’s comic book style. Ross has been called the photorealist of comic books, having also studied Norman Rockwell and J.C. Leyendecker. He’s illustrated numerous iconic comic characters, including Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Wonder Woman, X-Men and many, many more.
