Michael Dooney
Born in Portland, Maine, in 1962, Kevin Eastman has been drawing since he could hold a crayon. His passion for comic books gave direction to his creative impulses. He honed his artistic skills by studying the works of Jack Kirby, Russ Heath, Richard Corben, Vaughn Bode, and John Severin.
Eastman’s first published work appeared in 1980. Shortly thereafter, he met Peter Laird, and in May 1984, they co-published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, launching the iconic heroes. Kevin Eastman continues to co-write Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for IDW and occasionally appears at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery.
