Shinobu Hashimoto

Shinobu Hashimoto was an award-winning screenwriter and film producer, best known across the globe for his collaborations with Akira Kurosawa. Born in 1918, in southern Japan, Hashimoto began his career in film after graduating from middle school.

His debut work was the screenplay for Rashomon, which was an immediate critical success. Throughout his career, Hashimoto worked on over 50 films, including:
