Shere Hite
Shere Hite (1942-2020)
Shere Hite was an American-born German sex educator, writer, model, and feminist. She authored influential works such as The Hite Report: A Nationwide Study of Female Sexuality and The Hite Report on Male Sexuality. Hite was also the director of the National Organization for Women’s Feminist Sexuality Project, vice president of the International Women Writers Association, and a lecturer at prestigious institutions including New York University, Harvard University, McGill University, Columbia University, and Cambridge University.
Liz Canner
Liz Canner is an award-winning filmmaker, artist, writer, and pioneer in interactive media. A Rockefeller Foundation and Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study Fellow, Canner directed Orgasm Inc., a New York Times Critic’s Pick that investigated the pharmaceutical industry’s efforts to medicalize female pleasure. Her diverse body of work spans from early exposes on the global impact of the IMF and World Bank to the United Nations-featured VR climate project, Lost City of Mer. Selected by Shere Hite to record her legacy, Canner conducted twenty hours of interviews with the renowned researcher.
