Brian Holguin
Jim Henson was a puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, screenwriter, actor, director, and producer, best known as the creator of the Muppets. He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised in Leland, Mississippi, and University Park, Maryland. He began experimenting with puppetry in high school and created Sam and Friends while attending the University of Maryland. After graduating, he formed Muppets, Inc.
Henson is best known for creating the Muppets and Fraggle Rock, and directing The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. He received numerous awards, including five Primetime Emmy Awards. He died in New York City at age 53.
