About The Author

Ruth Ogden

Ruth Ogden is Professor of the Psychology of Time at Liverpool John Moores University. Her research focuses on how humans perceive the passage of time, and she is particularly interested in how our actions, experiences, and emotions influence our experience of the speed of time.

Ruth is currently principal investigator on TIMED, a 1.7 million Euro project that explores experiences of time and temporality in Europe’s digital age, and co-investigator in ‘After the End,’ which investigates lived experiences of time and endings in global health crises. Ruth is also partnered with the European Space Agency, SpaceX, and the Argentinian Antarctic Institute to explore how extreme isolation and confinement affect our experience of time.

This is her first book.
