Ted the Dog (2012-2026)
Ted the Dog became a beloved fixture of BBC2’s Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing from Series 3 onwards. Over more than 40 episodes, he brought his unique animal magnetism to the popular show, becoming a constant companion on the riverside adventures. His final appearance was in Series 9, before old age led to his retirement from his broadcasting career.
Ted was also the author of two previous Sunday Times bestselling books: A Pawtobiography and Pup Fiction.
