Critics Review

A collection of stories that feel like worlds in their own right, masterworks in miniature. This book is the short story form in the hands of a master. Anna Bailey is a once-in-a-generation talent. * C J Cooke *Anna Bailey is a natural short story writer - these tales are lean and beautifully vivid, drenched in a queer American Gothic that feels deeply present, sharp and alive. * Kerry Andrew, author of We are Together Because *Haunting, soulful and simmering, Wasteland Girls is a masterfully rendered portrait of American loneliness, laced with unexpected hope. Grappling with tragedy and isolation, Anna Bailey’s vivid characters are impossible to forget. You’ll feel these stories deep in your gut. * Grace Flahive, author of Palm Meridian *
