What They're Saying
Critics Review
Praise for Impossible Possums:
“Kids will giggle over this comically inventive story and Carl’s exaggeratedly humorous wickedness and will enjoy coming up with additional outlandish P possibilities the Populator could deliver. The dynamic, colorful digital illustrations are equally riotous, conveying sound effects and deploying typographical creativeness. Fast-paced fun and hijinks.”
—Kirkus
Praise for Impossible Possum for Mayor!:
“Rey Sanchez’s speech bubbles and digital illustrations feel like screenshots for an animated film; rife with zany energy, they’ll appeal to those making their first forays into comics. Fans of chaotic humor will be pleased as punch.”
—Kirkus
About The Author
Justin Colón
Justin Colon is a professional actor and children’s book author. This is his second picture book, joining his debut, The Quacken. Like Carl, the star of Impossible Possums, Justin lives in New York. Unlike Carl, Justin does not live in a sewer or have an evil lair.
James Rey Sanchez’s love for art came from many hours of reading comics, playing video games, and watching ‘90s Saturday morning cartoons. He has illustrated books on subjects ranging from Irving Berlin to trucks, but this is his first about a villainous possum. He lives in Detroit, Michigan.
