About The Author

Zeb Wells

Zeb Wells is a writer for the Emmy Award-winning animated series Robot Chicken and co-creator of the stop-motion SuperMansion. He began his career at Marvel with the New Warriors limited series, which inspired story threads for Civil War, and also wrote the Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways tie-in. His collaboration with Seth Fisher on Fantastic Four/Iron Man: Big in Japan is considered a charming comic of the 21st century.

Wells’ other credits include Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock, Venom: Dark Origin, Dark Reign: Elektra, and Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One. He contributed to the “Brand New Day” era of Amazing Spider-Man, including the “Shed” storyline, wrote two Carnage limited series, and helped relaunch New Mutants. He has since returned to Amazing Spider-Man with John Romita Jr.

Ed McGuinness rose to prominence with his work on Harris Comics’ Vampirella and Marvel’s Deadpool. At Awesome Entertainment, he collaborated with Jeph Loeb on a Fighting American revamp. His work on DC Comics’ Superman and the launch of Superman/Batman with Loeb led to a reunion with Loeb at Marvel for Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America, Hulk, and Avengers: X-Sanction, before launching Amazing X-Men with Jason Aaron. McGuinness has since reteamed with Joe Kelly for Spider-Man/Deadpool and with Aaron on a relaunch of Avengers.

Patrick Gleason became a fan-favorite artist at DC Comics, drawing characters like Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, and Aquaman. After early credits at Marvel, his collaboration with Nick Spencer on Amazing Spider-Man marked his significant arrival at the company. Gleason further cemented his connection to Spider-Man by joining the writing team for the “Beyond” era of Amazing Spider-Man.
