• Mark Waid is a New York Times best-selling author who has worked for every major company in the comics industry. His extensive career includes runs on Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, Ka-Zar, and Fantastic Four. He is also known for his collaboration with painter Alex Ross on the Eisner Award-winning Kingdom Come and his Eisner Award-winning run on Daredevil with frequent artistic partner Chris Samnee. Waid has also taken on characters like Princess Leia and Archie, and ushered in a new era for the Avengers. His Marvel work includes Avengers, Black Widow, Captain America, Champions, and Doctor Strange.

• Jonathan Hickman is an award-winning writer and artist known for his independent titles Pax Romana, Transhuman, and The Nightly News. He launched Marvel’s Secret Warriors and wrote the Dark Reign: Fantastic Four limited series, leading into his acclaimed runs on Fantastic Four and FF, and two S.H.I.E.L.D. series. Hickman penned numerous Ultimate Universe titles before his intricate plotting graced Avengers and New Avengers, culminating in the Marvel Universe-shattering Secret Wars. His other notable series for Image include East of West, Secret, and the Eisner Award-nominated The Manhattan Projects. Hickman later returned to Marvel to mastermind the transformative relaunch of its mutant titles with House of X and Powers of X, continuing with X-Men.

• Neil Gaiman is the creator of DC Comics’ The Sandman, a series that has earned him every major award in the comics industry, including the prestigious World Fantasy Award for Best Short Story. The Sandman collections have sold millions of copies and remain in print. Gaiman also wrote the highly regarded DC series Books of Magic and took over Miracleman for Eclipse Comics. He collaborated with Terry Pratchett on the novel Good Omens and wrote the BBC teleplay Neverwhere, which he later adapted into a novel. His novels American Gods and Coraline were New York Times best-sellers and received international acclaim. Gaiman’s Marvel work includes the top-selling series Marvel 1602. He also collaborated with Dave McKean on the feature film Mirrormask. Gaiman is a passionate defender of the First Amendment and serves on the Board of Directors for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

• Ryan Stegman gained early recognition for his work on the Marvel adaptation of Raymond E. Feist’s Magician Apprentice and Riftwar. His popularity led to assignments on Incredible Hulk, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man, Incredible Hercules, and She-Hulks. He launched a new Scarlet Spider with Christopher Yost, delivered Superior Spider-Man with Dan Slott, and offered a new take on Spider-Man’s family in Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows with Gerry Conway. Stegman’s other Marvel credits include Wolverine, Inhuman, Uncanny Avengers, and a smash-hit run on Venom.

• Marguerite Sauvage became an illustrator in 2001 after graduating in Law and Information Sciences. She worked in advertising, magazines, and publishing before moving into the animation industry as a concept artist and script writer, also drawing for European bande dessinee. In 2014, she began her career in North American comics with covers for Vertigo’s Hinterkind. She debuted sequential art on Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman and initiated the DC Bombshells series. Her work has since appeared at Marvel (Scarlet Witch, Secret Wars, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, 1602: Witch Hunter Angela, Captain America), Dark Horse (Zodiac Starforce), Image (Wayward, The Wicked + The Divine), Dynamite (Red Sonja), Valiant (Faith), Oni, and DC Comics.

• Michael Allred established himself as a leading creative force with his creation Madman, which earned him three Eisner Award nominations and a Harvey Award win. He first came to Marvel in 2001, helping relaunch the pop-inspired X-Force (later X-Statix). He illustrated The Golden Plates, an adaptation of the Book of Mormon, and began a new Madman series for Image Comics. Allred collaborated with Neil Gaiman on a Metamorpho story for DC Comics’ Wednesday Comics and his DC/Vertigo collaboration iZOMBIE was adapted into a TV series. He returned to Marvel with FF and Silver Surfer. Allred is also an accomplished filmmaker, actor, and singer/guitarist for The Gear.
