In this Spanglish picture book from debut author-illustrator Andrea Cruz Floren, Clara visits her grandfather and many cousins in California every year. Every year, her family tells fantastic stories about her grandfather’s orange groves: There’s magic! There are pranks! There are monsters! But Clara has never visited the orange groves, and she is determined to change that. So when her cousins are distracted, Clara sneaks into Abuelo’s pickup and ends up in the orange groves.
