Nomar Perez naci en la hermosa isla de Puerto Rico, en la ciudad de Ponce, y se mud con sus padres y cinco hermanos a Ohio a los 10 anos. Nomar ha sido influenciado por todo tipo de arte, especialmente la animaci n, marionetas, y el arte digital. Estudi animaci n en computadora y pintura en Bowling Green State University en Ohio, y desde entonces trabaja como ilustrador en productos de expresi n social en las categorias de humor, ninos y j venes adultos. Nomar tambien ha ilustrado varios libros de cuentos para ninos y publicaciones escolares. De aqui como el Coqui, es su estreno como autor-ilustrador.
