About The Author

Andy McNab

Andy McNab

Andy McNab has led an extraordinary life, beginning from the day he was found in a carrier bag on the steps of Guy’s Hospital in London. As a teenage delinquent, he rebelled against society. As a young soldier, he fought the IRA in the streets and fields of South Armagh. For nine years, he was a member of the 22nd SAS, participating in covert operations on five continents. During the Gulf War, he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol whose exploits are said to “remain in regimental history for ever.” McNab was awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and the Military Medal (MM) during his military career, making him the British Army’s most highly decorated serving soldier upon his departure from the SAS.

Since leaving the military, Andy McNab has become a world-renowned bestselling author, drawing upon his insider knowledge and extensive experience. His works include three non-fiction bestsellers, such as Bravo Two Zero, which became the bestselling British work of military history. He is also the author of the bestselling Nick Stone thriller series and has written several children’s books.

In addition to his writing, McNab lectures to security and intelligence agencies in both the USA and the UK. He works in the film industry, advising Hollywood on various aspects, from covert procedures to training civilian actors to portray soldiers realistically. He also continues to serve as a spokesperson and fundraiser for military and literacy charities.
