About The Author
Eric Hill
Eric Hill (1927-2014) began his artistic journey as an art studio messenger, later transitioning to a career as a cartoonist and ultimately serving as an art director for a prominent advertising agency. In 1978, Eric created a bedtime story for his son featuring a little puppy, which led to the creation of Spot. The remarkable success of his debut lift-the-flap book, Where’s Spot?, in 1980, inspired him to dedicate himself fully to writing. His beloved Spot books have since captivated children globally. In recognition of his contributions to children’s literacy, he was awarded an OBE in 2008.
