Stacey Morrison

About the Author:

Stacey Morrison (Ngai Tahu, Te Arawa) is a radio and TV broadcaster with 25 years of experience. She is the co-host of the Drive show on The Hits, and has previously worked on Mai FM and Flava. Her most recent TV credit was “Whanau Living,” a show that featured the entire Morrison family offering lifestyle ideas and projects while speaking te reo Maori.

Stacey’s passion for language learning and her desire to connect with her heritage language began during her time as an AFS student in Japan. In 2016, she was recognized with the Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Maori Champion Award for her contributions to the Maori language. She resides in Auckland with her husband Scotty and their three children, who proudly speak Maori as their first language.

About the Illustrators:

Ali Teo and John O’Reilly are freelance New Zealand illustrators and designers. They have a successful track record of collaborating on award-winning children’s books, including “Tahi - One Lucky Kiwi” (with Melanie Drewery), “Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck!” and “Melu” (both with Kyle Mewburn). They live in Tauranga with their son, Tiger.
