Sara Wheeler
Sara Wheeler is the author of several acclaimed books, including the international bestseller Terra Incognita: Travels in Antarctica. The Telegraph described it as, “I do not think there will ever be a better book on the Antarctic.”
Her book The Magnetic North: Notes from the Arctic Circle was selected as Book of the Year by notable figures such as Will Self, Michael Palin, and A. N. Wilson.
Wheeler has also published two biographies of notable travellers: Cherry: A Life of Apsley Cherry-Garrard and Too Close to the Sun: The Life and Times of Denys Finch Hatton. She expressed relief at finally writing about women in her book, O My America!.
She currently resides in London.
