Veronica Woods retired from the NHS after 23 years of service due to poor health. She suffered a brain haemorrhage and underwent ten-hour reconstructive brain surgery, which left her with memory problems and other impairments challenging her daily activities. Her six-year-old daughter assisted her during her difficult rehabilitation, filling her days with love and affection and making her recovery quicker and more complete. She is now able to lead a happy family life and be the mother she always wanted to be. Her books are dedicated to her daughter for her patience, love, and care.
