About The Author
Jenny Johnson
Jenny Johnson is a three-time Emmy Award-winning executive producer and on-air talent. Born in Boston, raised in Worcester and then in Marblehead, Johnson graduated from the University of New Hampshire before beginning her career in television. Alongside her longtime partner Billy Costa, she serves as co-host of NESN’s Dining Playbook, Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny, and WBZ’s weekly radio program “Food for Thought.” Johnson is also the host of Comcast Newsmakers where she interviews policymakers and other prominent New Englanders. Deeply involved in the community, Johnson serves on the board or advisory boards of Mass General Cancer Center, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, and Camp Harborview. Johnson recently went back to school to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner and as mother of two young girls, is passionate about promoting the healing power of food.
Billy Costa is a three-time Emmy Award-winning on-air talent and Hall of Fame radio broadcaster. Born and raised in Cambridge, Costa is an alumnus of the New Preparatory School in Cambridge and attended Merrimack College before transferring to Emerson College, where he graduated with a degree in English. Costa has served as the voice of Boston for over thirty years on KISS 108, currently co-hosting the popular Billy and Lisa in the Morning Show as well as the weekly KISS Top 30 Countdown. Alongside his longtime partner Jenny Johnson, Costa is the host of NESN’s Dining Playbook and Meet Boston with Billy and Jenny. A father of three sons, Costa is involved with many charitable organizations, and serves as an emcee and auctioneer for many galas, fundraisers, and events.
