About The Author
Dana Facaros
Travel writers Dana Facaros & Michael Pauls are old Italy hands, who lived in Umbria for three years with their young children, while travelling and researching the country from Trieste to Lampedusa, writing numerous guides in the Cadogan series in the process. They first visited Emilia Romagna back in 1981, and in 2015 produced an Art & Culture app to Bologna and Modena. One of their prize possessions is a small well-thumbed cookery book on the region’s traditional cuisine, and one of Michael’s star turns as a chef is a decent rendition of tagliatelle al ragù that he makes when they aren’t able to get back to eat the real McCoy.
