Description

The incidence of childhood health problems is rising: from ADD and ADHD to obesity, it's glaringly evident that we need to focus on teaching our children healthier habits. Introducing the practice of yoga is a holistic way of doing so, where the coordination of the body and breath, and stilling a busy mind or upset emotions, is at the core.

In the hands of these talented Brazilian writers and illustrators, kids learn yoga through play, with help from the natural world and animals, and creative characters that simplify this ancient philosophy. That's not to say that yogic principles are overly simplified: in fact, the authors break down sophisticated back bends and forward folds, balancing postures, and breathing and meditation techniques, making the book as

instructive to adults as it is to children. A book for the whole family to enjoy with a promise of strength, focus, and calm.
