Pie weights are essential for use in blind baking in order to prevent blistering and shrinkage of pastry. These pie weights/baking beads are reusable and will ensure against bubbling during baking. Pie weights are made from an unglazed ceramic material which will ensure even heat distribution for premium results. To use simply fit your pastry dough into your pan, then gently press a layer of foil or baking paper on top of the pastry and line it with the weights on top. Make sure to pack the beads against the sides because this is where shrinkage is most likely to occur.
