Postage Stamp RAAF 1/110 CAC-27 Sabre RAAF

In the late 1940’s the RAAF was planning the replacement of the Australian-built CAC Mustang and DHA Vampire. As an interim measure Gloster Meteors were obtained and they saw service with RAAF 77 Squadron in the Korean War. In 1951 the Australian Comonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) signed a licence to build the Amercian F-86 but with some major changes in the design.
