About The Author
Yuki Urushibara
Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Yuki Urushibara is the creator of the internationally acclaimed best-seller Mushishi. The series, which ran from 1999 to 2013, inspired two anime television adaptations, an anime film, and a live-action film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo.
Urushibara is a recipient of the Afternoon Shikishou newcomer’s prize and the Japan Media Arts Award. Her other works include When a Cat Faces West and Suiiki.
