Xander Beattie is the fiction-writing alter ego of a longtime journalist, arts critic, and editor. His work has been published by a wide array of international and South African media, including the BBC, Monocle, Mail & Guardian, Business Day, Financial Mail, and Sunday Times (South Africa). The President is his first novel.
Born in Cape Town in 1988, Beattie lives with his husband, two cats, and hundreds of books in a remote cabin in Northern California.
